‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ opens with Balav bhai explaining to Mihir and Noina that signing the papers will formally end their partnership. Mihir tells him to complete the process and close the matter for good.
Noina surprises everyone by refusing to take any money, shares, or assets. Mihir pulls her aside and asks what she is doing. Noina tells him she is not doing him a favour. Mihir tells her to do what she wants, but he does not need favours either. Noina insists that the money be donated to someone. Mihir asks Balav bhai to take her signature and moves ahead to the family court. Noina gets emotional but holds her ground.
Gautam finds his roots again
Meanwhile, Gautam is quietly trying to stitch a button when he stumbles upon old family photographs from when he was born.
He sits with the album for a while, getting lost in the moments captured there. Sobha finds him emotional and gently tells him he has always been his mother’s dearest. She then gives him an update: Tulsi has gone to Anjar and will return to Surat to reclaim Shantiniketan, which is still at stake. She adds that Tulsi knows nothing about Mitali’s legal notice.
Gautam tells Sobha he will do everything he can to get back to Timsi and make things right.
Sobha stitches his button as he talks, a small act that carries enormous warmth.
Gautam tears apart Mitali’s case in court
At the family court, Mitali’s lawyer argues that Timsi’s custody should go to her mother because Ritik is occupied with his new wife. Gautam steps up for the other side and immediately reframes the argument: a mother must be capable of caring for the child to deserve that title. He then calls Mitali for questioning and begins dismantling her case piece by piece.Mihir tells the court that Mitali went on a girls’ trip to Thailand and gave Timsi formula milk to maintain her figure. Gautam asks Mitali why she did not pick Timsi up on a recent occasion and why she left the city without informing anyone. Mitali hesitates and then claims she was suffering from postpartum depression. Gautam produces travel documents proving she left not for personal recovery but to compete in a beauty competition, where she lied about being unmarried to enter.
He tells the court he can call the director of the fashion show as a witness if needed. He tells the judge that Timsi deserves a stable environment and asks for a fair verdict. The judge announces she will give her decision after a recess.Ritik and Mihir thank Gautam for taking the case. Gautam apologises to Mihir for everything that came before and tells him he now wants to win this for the family.
Bharti confesses, and Angad is stuck
In Jamshedpur, Bharti walks into Angad’s room and asks why he initially refused to play Shri Ram in the Ram Navami programme.
Angad tells her he eventually agreed because everyone wanted him to. Bharti then says what she came to say: she wanted to be Sita, and the reason she is upset is not just about the role. She tells Angad she feels something for him and wants to express it. Angad is visibly shocked. Bharti tells him she feels lighter having said it and asks him to think about what she has said.Angad goes straight to Vrinda and tells her about the situation.
Vrinda immediately starts questioning him, and Angad asks her not to doubt him. He tells her he will call her father the next day to sort it out. Vrinda laughs and tells him she is joking and that she trusts him completely. She tells him he is handsome enough that any girl could get attracted, which Angad takes as his cue to launch into a list of past admirers, before Vrinda cuts him off and tells him she is his everything, and he should handle this himself.
She leaves it entirely in his hands and tells him she is always with him. Both of them separately wonder who sneaked Vrinda’s name onto the Ram Navami list.
Ram and Sita take the stage
The next morning, the Ram Navami celebrations begin and Angad and Vrinda step out as Shri Ram and Sita Maiya. The entire gathering welcomes them with joy. Angad is visibly moved, genuinely grateful for the moment. Bharti watches from the side, unable to hide her jealousy. Vrinda feels the weight of the situation but carries herself with grace. Thakur, meanwhile, is quietly executing his plan in the background, and Angad has not yet figured out who placed Vrinda’s name on the list in the first place.Precap: Noina tells Tulsi her last wish is to become Mihir’s wife before she dies.
