‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ begins when Karan tells Mihir he is leaving for a meeting. Mihir asks him to relax and not stress himself. Tulsi says she also has important work to do and leaves the house.Karan reaches Malabar Hills, and Tulsi follows him secretly. When Niyati opens the gate, Tulsi is shocked to see another woman. Karan goes inside, and Tulsi overhears him having dinner with Niyati. Tulsi remembers Nandini telling her how close Karan was to this woman. Tulsi sees photographs of Karan and Niyati together on the wall.
The shocking discovery of Karan’s deception
Niyati asks Karan to bring rabri, and he goes to get it along with jalebi. When Karan opens the gate to leave, Tulsi is completely shocked seeing him in this situation.
She realizes Karan is having an affair. Tulsi is frozen and accidentally collides with Niyati. Niyati invites Tulsi inside and offers her water. Tulsi enters the flat and sees more photographs of Karan and Niyati. Tulsi asks for cold water and is absolutely devastated to discover that Karan has a child with this woman, too.
Karan’s deception causes immense pain to Tulsi.
Pari and Aryan at the cafe
Pari and Aryan come to a cafe with Garima. Pari tells Garima to eat quickly because it is about to rain.
Ajay arrives at the same cafe as Sunny. Garima becomes happy seeing Sunny, and they go to play together. Aryan meets Ajay, and Pari mentions that Aryan was his school friend. Aryan receives a call and leaves. Ajay tells Pari that Aryan is a good person and sits down with her.
Gautam’s proposal
Gautam thanks Aryan for helping him and tells him he wants Aryan to marry Pari because he is also divorced like her. Aryan says he never thought about this before.
Gautam gives him one day to decide. Aryan becomes confused about this sudden proposal.
Pari’s decision
Ajay tells Pari that she has forgotten him after meeting his friend. Ajay apologizes to Pari on behalf of his mother. Pari tells Ajay that she has moved on with Aryan. Aryan overhears this conversation. Ajay becomes shocked and hurt by her words. Pari suggests that Ajay move on in his life and forget about her. She tells him she needs a partner now, and Aryan is the best choice for her.
Ajay asks if Aryan loves her. Pari says she does not know yet.
Aryan comes back, and Pari calls Garima because they have to leave. Aryan says goodbye to Ajay.
Tulsi’s pain
Tulsi returns home traumatized by what she saw at Karan’s flat. Samira asks what happened to her. Tulsi avoids answering, and Samira tells her that her parents are not fighting anymore, so she wants to celebrate their anniversary.Nandini asks Tulsi what happened. Tulsi tells her to trust Karan. Nandini wants confirmation because she is certain Karan is having an affair. Thereafter, she announces her decision to file for divorce, leaving Tulsi completely heartbroken.
