Mr. Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh

Biography & Overview

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM is the current Governor of Uttarakhand. A decorated military officer, he served as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff before retirement. He has extensive experience in high-altitude warfare and counter-insurgency operations. As Governor, he focuses on development, education, and disaster preparedness in Uttarakhand.
