Rain relief over, temperature set to rise again this week

IMD has forecast a rise of 3-5 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures during the next 5-6 days

Gurgaon: After a brief spell of light rainfall on Friday evening, the city is set to get warmer again as IMD has forecast a rise of 3-5 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures during the next 5-6 days.On Saturday, the minimum temperature dipped to 19.9 degrees Celsius, down from 22.4 degrees Celsius recorded a day earlier at the Gurgaon KVK observatory. At The NorthCap University weather station, the minimum settled at 20.8 degrees Celsius, compared to 24.3 degrees Celsius on Friday.The maximum temperature, too, saw a slight dip. At the Gurgaon KVK observatory, it was recorded at 38.3 degrees Celsius, down from 39.1 degrees Celsius a day earlier.

At The NorthCap University, the maximum stood at 40.1 degrees Celsius, compared to 40.8 degrees Celsius previously.According to IMD, a western disturbance is circulating over north Pakistan and adjoining areas in the lower tropospheric levels. In addition, upper air cyclonic circulations persist over central Rajasthan and over Haryana and neighbouring regions. However, these systems are currently weak and are not expected to trigger any rainfall activity.

With no active weather system impacting the region, dry conditions are set to dominate. According to IMD, daytime temperatures are expected to hover between 41 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius over the next few days, while minimum temperatures may range between 24 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius.Across Haryana, the average maximum temperature has risen by 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day and remains appreciably above normal by 3.6 degrees Celsius. at 41.9 degrees Celsius, followed by Sirsa at 41.4 degrees Celsius and Nuh at 41.3 degrees Celsius.
