Ramgarh DC Takes Stock of Maa Chinnamastika Temple Redevelopment Work

Ramgarh: The district administration is working on a war footing to redevelop and beautify the Maa Chinnamastika Temple, Rajrappa, to ensure better facilities to devotees. This was stated by Ramgarh deputy commissioner (DC) Rituraj who, along with senior officials, inspected the works on Saturday.Earlier, 254 shops were razed at the site during a two-day anti-encroachment drive from April 16 to make way for the project.DC Rituraj said, “The plan includes temple beautification, construction of entrance and exit gates, parking area, and a market complex. We are identifying places for creating those facilities. Also, a plan is afoot to rehabilitate those evicted.”Ramgarh divisional forest officer (DFO) Nitish Kumar said, “My department would made forest land available for construction of parking site near the temple complex.”The Jharkhand high court, too, is monitoring the Rajrappa renovation project.It had questioned administration over its slow pace.”Home to goddess Chinnamastika, Rajrappa temple is located on the confluence of Damodar and Bhairvi rivers in Ramgarh district. It is among the religious tourist destinations that are being developed by the state tourism department. Others include Baba Baidhyanathdham temple (Deoghar), Parasnath hills (Giridih), Bhadrakali temple (Chatra), Anjan Dham (Gumla), and Patratu Lake Resort (Ramgarh).
