We need to know the truth behind his death,” said the actor, highlighting the importance of accountability and better safety measures within the industry.
Rituparna also spoke about Priyanka’s strength, noting that her bond with Rahul went far beyond marriage as they had been close since their teenage years, making the loss even more profound.
“I went to meet Rahul’s mother and I had no words to console her. And what is going on inside Priyanka’s heart only she knows. And my heart goes out for their son-Shohoj. So, we are all waiting to know what happened on that day which led to this accident which is unacceptable,” said Rituparna. On her mother: Grief, memories and moving forwardOpening up about her personal loss, Rituparna shared that this was her second Poila Boishakh without her mother.
She spoke emotionally about how difficult it has been to navigate life without her, recalling small yet meaningful memories like her mother advising her not to cut her hair. These everyday moments now carry deep emotional weight. “Life without ma is an irreplaceable void, but the need to keep moving forward and continue work, even though nothing feels the same without ma is what keeps me going.
Ma couldn’t watch Puratawn, which was released on Poila Boishakh 2025. Nor could she see Korpur, even as people continue to appreciate my performance in it. There’s a quiet ache in that, knowing that some of my most meaningful works will always remain unseen by the one person whose opinion mattered the most to me,” said the actor.
