Jamie Carragher has strongly criticised the ownership of Chelsea FC after another managerial exit. The former defender believes the club has lost its identity under the current leadership.

His comments came after Liam Rosenior became the fifth permanent manager to lose his job in just four years. Carragher feels the issue at Chelsea goes beyond coaching and points directly to poor decisions at the top.The ex-Liverpool star said the club’s problems are deeper than just results on the field. Since the takeover by BlueCo, Chelsea have spent huge money but failed to achieve success. Fans are growing frustrated with constant changes.

Carragher believes the ownership’s strategy has damaged the club’s culture. He even suggested that Chelsea might need new owners rather than another manager to fix the situation.

Jamie Carragher questions Chelsea’s ownership and direction

Jamie Carragher did not hold back in his criticism of Chelsea’s leadership. He said the club has gone backwards despite massive spending since the takeover from Roman Abramovich. According to him, what was once a strong and feared team has now become unstable and less respected in world football.

In his column at Telegraph, Carragher explained that Chelsea’s problems come from poor planning at the top. He argued that managers are being treated as short-term options, instead of being trusted to build a team. He suggested that the club’s leadership focuses too much on financial strategies and long contracts instead of football success and team balance. He also pointed out that this system makes life difficult for managers.

Young coaches like Rosenior face huge pressure without proper support. Carragher believes Rosenior was put in a tough situation from the start. He said the expectations were unrealistic, and many people already believed the job would end badly for him.Carragher further added that Chelsea’s recruitment model is creating problems inside the club. He believes players are being signed without a clear plan, which affects team chemistry.

The constant changes in squad and management have made it difficult for the club to build stability. He concluded by saying that Chelsea’s current ownership has spent a huge amount of money but made the club weaker. In his view, the team is now less competitive, less feared, and less successful than before. Carragher believes serious changes are needed at the top if Chelsea want to return to their winning ways.
