Timings for Classes upto 8 changed in Jaipur schools amid heatwave warning

Jaipur: With the Meteorological Department forecasting a rise in temperatures and the possibility of a heatwave, Jaipur district on Wednesday changed school timings for students from pre-primary till Class 8.

Schools will operate from 7.30am to 12.30pm, effective from April 27 until summer vacations start.Sandesh Nayak, district collector of Jaipur, revised the operational hours for classes, which will apply to all govt and private schools across the district.Meanwhile, the timings for classes 9-12, including those for students and all staff members, as well as the schedule for any other ongoing examinations in all govt and private schools, shall remain unchanged.Action, in accordance with the rules and under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, will be initiated against any govt or private schools found violating the directives.
