BJP candidate.In a complaint to the CEC, TMC alleged that the observer, Parmar Smit Parshottamdas, bypassed official protocol to meet Gour Sundar Ghosh at a hotel in Diamond Harbour. TMC also shared purported video footage on X showing the observer entering the hotel and meeting the BJP candidate.Parshottamdas was supposed to stay at the IPS mess in Alipore. Instead, he allegedly checked into Room 208 of Sagarika Hotel, a government-run facility, to conduct “private, unscheduled, and unrecorded” talks, TMC said. Alleging that the “BJPEC nexus” was now documented, it demanded the observer’s immediate removal.BJP rejected the charges, claiming the meeting was held to raise concerns that TMC workers were obstructing their campaign.
