Trump Mobile has updated its gold T1 Phone with a new design and specifications, including a triple camera and AMOLED display. However, the ‘Made in USA’ claim has softened to ‘shaped by American innovation.’ Priced at $499 with a $100 deposit, the phone’s launch timeline remains a mystery, with a ‘Join the Waitlist’ prompt replacing any release date.
Trump Mobile has overhauled its website and revealed a refreshed design for the T1 Phone, but the golden smartphone remains as elusive as ever with no launch timeline in sight. The redesigned handset is still gold—because of course it is—now featuring a triple vertical camera array, a cleaner American flag on the rear, and a “Trump Mobile” wordmark on the camera bump.
Gone is the oversized “T1” branding that plastered the back of earlier renders. The phone looks largely identical to what Trump Mobile executives Eric Thomas and Don Hendrickson showed The Verge over a video call back in February, now rendered in higher resolution on the revamped site.Specs have been updated too. The T1 now lists a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera alongside an 8MP ultrawide and 50MP 2x telephoto, a 50MP selfie camera, 512GB storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging, and an unspecified Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chip running Android 15.
Trump Phone ‘s “Made in USA ” promise has quietly evaporated
The “Made in USA” branding, which was the phone’s original headline claim at launch in June 2025, has been progressively walked back with each website update. The T1 is now described as “shaped by American innovation” with “American teams helping guide design and quality”—a long way from the original pitch. Executives previously told The Verge that final assembly would happen in Miami, with most manufacturing done in a “favored nation” overseas.
T1 Phone pricing stays at $499, for now
The phone is listed at a “promotional price” of $499, with $100 deposits still being accepted. That price will rise after the promotional window closes, though Trump Mobile hasn’t said by how much—only that it will stay under $1,000. More notably, any mention of a release date has been stripped from the site entirely, replaced with a simple “Join the Waitlist” prompt.
