The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has announced the Class 12 (Intermediate) examination results for 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 80.38%, reflecting a steady performance compared to recent years.A total of 24,86,072 students appeared for the examination, out of which 19,98,317 students successfully passed.The announcement was made from the Boardβs headquarters in Prayagraj. Students can now check their results on the official website upmsp.edu.in

Continuing a consistent trend, girls significantly outperformed boys. The pass percentage for girls stood at 86.32%, while boys recorded 75.04%, marking a notable gap of 11.28 percentage points in favor of female students.
UP Board Class 12 Result 2026: Stream-wise performance
Among different streams, Commerce emerged as the top-performing stream with a pass percentage of 90.41%, followed by Agriculture Partβ2 (93.55%), which recorded the highest success rate overall among smaller groups.The Science stream, with the highest number of candidates (over 16 lakh registered), achieved a pass percentage of 82.15%, while Humanities, the second-largest stream, recorded 76.18%.However, Agriculture Partβ1 showed comparatively lower performance, with a pass percentage of 69.51%.
Across all streams, girls consistently recorded higher success rates than boys.
UP Board Class 12 Result 2026: Toppers Shine
This yearβs top position was secured by Shikha Verma from Sitapur, who scored an impressive 488 out of 500 (97.60%). She was closely followed by Nandani Gupta (Bareilly) and Shriya Verma (Barabanki), both securing the second rank with 486 marks (97.20%).
