C. P. Radhakrishnan presided over IIMT University’s third convocation
MEERUT: C. P. Radhakrishnan presided over the third convocation ceremony of IIMT University, where nearly 4,000 students were conferred degrees. Addressing graduates, he said that earning a degree is not the end of education but the beginning of contributing to India’s development. He encouraged students to become job creators rather than job seekers and to uphold the values instilled by their parents and teachers.A total of 3,940 students received undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including 1,736 degrees for the 2024 batch and 1,972 for the 2025 batch. As many as 203 students were awarded gold medals, while 29 scholars received PhDs. Seventeen top-performing students were honoured with prestigious awards, including the Om Prakash Gupta Memorial Award, Chancellor’s Gold Medal, and Satyaprabha Gupta Gold Medal.The Vice President also conferred three honorary doctorates upon Swami Kailashanand Giri, Swami Chidanand Saraswati, and Dr. Hari Singh Rawat. He emphasized innovation, entrepreneurship, and nation-building, urging students to contribute towards making India a developed nation by 2047.The ceremony featured academic processions, cultural performances, and the release of the university’s annual technical magazine Urdhva. Chancellor Yogesh Mohanji Gupta highlighted the university’s commitment to holistic education, scholarships, and support initiatives, including free education for students affected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
