Vijay’s final film, ‘Jana Nayagan,’ faces further delays and footage leaks. Amidst these issues, the actor-turned-politician is reportedly considering his 70th film with the same production house, possibly directed by Vetrimaaran. Meanwhile, the Editors Association has denied involvement in the ‘Jana Nayagan’ leak, with six arrests made.

Vijay’s much-talked-about film ‘Jana Nayagan’, set to be his final outing, continues to run into trouble as repeated delays and recent footage leaks hamper its theatrical release.

Amid these setbacks, latest reports indicate that the actor turned politician is now contemplating another project with the same banner backing the film.

Vijay’s 70th film in the making?

As per a report by Moneycontrol, there’s a buzz which suggest that the ‘Theri’ actor is planning another movie, which will be his 70th film. Additionally, KVN Productions who backed ‘Jana Nayagan’, is said to be backing the film. Interestingly, there are rumours which suggest that filmmaker Vetrimaaran known for strong and real stories including ‘Viduthalai’, ‘Vada Chennai’, ‘Asuran’ and others, might direct this film.

No official confirmation yet

However, it is imperative to mention that no official announcements have been made regarding the project. ‘Jana Nayagan’ was said to be Vijay’s last film. It is believed he would stop acting after this and fully focus on politics.

Editors Association denies role in leak controversy

Latest updates say that the South Indian Film Editors Association has strongly denied any involvement of editors in the leak of Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’. As reported by Hindustan Times, association president Gopi and FEFSI president RK Selvamani addressed the media in Chennai, clarifying that an internal inquiry has cleared the editors.

In addition to it, six persons have been arrested and remanded in judicial custody.

The case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, IT Act, Copyright Act, and Cinematograph Act, reportedly. The Central Board of Film Certification also denied any role in the leak. In a statement, the board said reports alleging the leak originated from them are baseless.
