Who is the new MasterChef co-host, Anna Haugh?

Over the years, ‘MasterChef’ has brought the most beautiful blend of the culinary world and the entertainment industry. And with every new chapter of this cooking show, something different is given to the audience.

This time around, the new chapter is marked with the inclusion of a new co-host, Irish chef Anna Haugh, who will be seen alongside food critic Grace Dent, replacing predecessors Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Who is the new MasterChef co-host, Anna Haugh?

Anna Haugh is currently the executive head chef and owner of Myrtle Restaurant. Born in Dublin in 1980, Anna Haugh is the youngest of four children. She comes from a family that shares a love for food and the culinary arts.

As a matter of fact, it was Anna’s mother who taught her to cook. “My mother sowed so many seeds, teaching me all about cooking,” Anna told RTÉ. Not just this, her father used to take her, along with her other siblings, to local food markets regularly.She further trained at TU Dublin’s School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology, and then made a career in the respective industry. In 2024, Anna Haugh expanded the empire with The Wee Sister Wine Bar.

“Cooking is in my bones. Cooking is a vocation. It’s how I very much identify myself as a person, and as time goes by, that is more and more the case,” said Anna once, according to The Sun.

Anna Haugh’s earlier television shows

‘MasterChef’ is not Anna Haugh’s first small-screen stunt. She’s a regular face on ‘Saturday Kitchen’ and a resident chef on ‘Morning Live.’ Also, she was the co-host of ‘One’s Royal Recipes’ for two seasons alongside Michael Buerk between 2017 and 2018.In 2020, she won an episode of ‘Snackmasters.’ Thereafter, between 2021 and 2022, Anna was one of the main chefs on ‘Ready Steady Cook.’Even when it comes to ‘MasterChef,’ Anna replaced Monica Galetti as a judge in 2022 on ‘MasterChef: The Professionals.’ In 2025, Anna Haugh’s Big Irish Food Tour made headlines.
