According to The Sun’s report citing Suffolk Constabulary, the woman was walking along the beach when she was approached by a man who initially offered her a hug before allegedly carrying out the assault.Police said the suspect intentionally touched the woman over her clothing and attempted to kiss her before leaving the scene shortly after the incident.The sudden escalation from what appeared to be a casual interaction into an alleged assault has raised concern over safety in public leisure spaces, particularly during late evening hours.
Suspect description released as police begin enquiries
As reported by The Sun, Suffolk Constabulary has released a description of the suspect as part of its ongoing enquiries.He is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing jeans, a jacket and a beige baseball cap.
Police believe the man left the area on a bicycle soon after the alleged assault.
