As Armaan wrestles with the ghost of Abhira, trying to bury their shared past, the Poddar family bursts with excitement for Aryan’s wedding. Meher grapples with her family’s reservations about her own future, while Maira’s nostalgic journey leads her to uncover a trove of youthful memories.
The latest episode of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ begins with Abhira remembering being confronted by Aryan and Tanya. The two of them try to get to know why she is planning on stopping Armaan’s wedding; however, she chooses to remain silent.
Armaan tries to forget Abhira
The scene shifts to Armaan sitting at his desk, looking at his old photos with Abhira. He wonders out loud about why he chose to save them, and starts burning them one by one. He confides in himself that he has to move on, no matter what, and that he has to leave Abhira behind. He even burns their wedding ring, deciding that he should cut all ties with her. Abhira watches from afar and becomes emotional.The scene shifts to Mukti lying in her bed in the empty hostel room.
She starts missing Maira and wonders about what she will do once she comes back. She starts saving her favorite snacks and promises to god that she will not bother anyone and that she only wants Maira to come back to their room. Meanwhile, the Poddar family exchanges gifts and celebrates the fact that Aryan is going to get married. Manisha comes in all dressed up and starts dancing to impress Disha. Maira, who is helping everyone in preparing for the wedding, receives a box, which she leaves on the desk after someone calls her away.
Maira tries to take a picture with Meher and Armaan
As Meher arrives, Maira welcomes her with open arms and pulls her father along. She tells them that she wants to take family photos and starts to click selfies. Armaan stands there uncomfortably as Maira complains that he should look at the camera when she is taking photos.Aryan sees all of this and saves him by saying that he has some business with Armaan. Maira and Meher talk about the wedding, with Meher reassuring her that Armaan simply needs time to get used to the idea of being with her.The rituals continue, and the family celebrates all together. They complete all of the processions with Aryan and give him their blessings. Vidya starts insisting all of a sudden that Meher should perform the remainder of the procession; however, Kaveri refuses and says that she cannot, and instead asks Tanya to do it. Meher then asks Kaveri for her blessings, and while she does, she also comments that Meher does not belong in the Poddar family and that she is not happy with her and Armaan’s union.
Vidya looks at her angrily and then reassures Meher that only Armaan’s mother’s approval is necessary. Meher wonders about how Aryan, Tanya, and Kaveri can all cause issues to her marriage with Armaan. Maira finally opens the box and sees all of her childhood memories. Meher sees this and lies to her, saying that she is the one who gifted it to her, and continues to manipulate her. With Disha’s family’s arrival, the Poddar’s get surprised to see Abhira performing their rituals.
