Panaji: Within hours of facing criticism from tourism minister Rohan Khaunte over alleged inaction against touts along the coastal belt, Goa police on Tuesday said it continues to enforce a zero-tolerance policy against touting and illegal roadside activities.
Police said 228 touts were booked in the first quarter of the year.Goa Police said touting, harassment of tourists, and illegal roadside activities “will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” adding that strict action will continue against violators. Police urged the public to report such incidents to the nearest police station and said it remains committed to maintaining public order and ensuring a safe environment. TNN
