हल्द्वानी। शहर में ट्यूबवेल खराब होने के बाद बढ़ रहे पेयजल संकट से निपटने के लिए जल संस्थान ने निजी टैंकरों भी लगा दिया है। शुक्रवार को संस्थान ने 16 टैंकरों के 80 चक्कर लगाकर 3.20 लाख लीटर पानी प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बांटा। शहर में मुखानी खड़िया फैक्ट्री, भगवानपुर तल्ला के ट्यूबवेलों की मोटर फुंकी हुई है। इन इलाकों में सात हजार से अधिक की आबादी इन दिनों टैंकरों पर निर्भर है। इसके अलावा दमुवाढूगा, लामाचौड़, कठघरिया, हरिपुर गांगू, चौफला चौराहा क्षेत्र में भी दिनभर टैंकरों से पानी बांटा गया। जल संस्थान के एई रवींद्र कुमार ने बताया कि जल संस्थान के 10 और छह प्राइवेट टैंकरों से पेयजल संकट वाले क्षेत्रों में पानी बांटा गया है। पानी की बढ़ती डिमांड को देखते हुए प्राइवेट टैंकर किराए पर लिए गए हैं। संवाद
