TNNLucknow: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi on Wednesday carried out an aerial survey of districts worst affected by the recent unseasonal rainfall.On the directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the two ministers surveyed Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh, Amethi, Sultanpur, Fatehpur, Unnao, and Lucknow to assess the damage to the rabi crop.The move comes a day after the CM reviewed survey and compensation work, directing officials to carry out on-ground assessment of crop damage at the earliest so that compensation could be released to farmers.The two ministers also interacted with farmers and informed them about the steps being taken by the govt to provide relief.They also held review meetings in Azamgarh and Fatehpur districts to assess the ground situation. District magistrates, chief development officers, deputy directors of agriculture, and other concerned officials were present at these meetings, where an in-depth review of the progress of crop survey work was conducted. Officials were directed to complete the crop survey immediately and submit a detailed report to the govt so that relief funds could be released to affected farmers at the earliest.
