English golf star Charley Hull recently shared one of the most awkward moments of her career, and it happened in front of live television cameras. The World No. 4 opened up about a wardrobe malfunction she suffered during the 2015 Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, a moment she says she still remembers very clearly even after more than ten years.
Hull, now 30, explained that the incident happened while she was playing the 15th hole during the tournament. What started as a normal shot quickly turned into an embarrassing moment when the button on her trousers suddenly flew off, followed by her zipper coming down on live TV. With cameras focused on her, the situation became impossible to hide. Speaking on the Vanity Index Podcast, Hull laughed while remembering how stressful the moment felt at the time.
Despite the problem, she stayed calm, found a quick solution, and managed to finish the round strongly, ending the event tied for seventh place behind winner Lydia Ko.

Charley Hull explained exactly how the moment happened during her podcast appearance. She said, “Coming down the 15th hole I hit this shot and one of my trousers was tight for me where I’d put on a bit of weight.”She continued, “My button flew off as I hit this shot. The cameraman recorded it as the zipper went down as well.
I was like ‘Oh no, this is on live TV.’”Hull then revealed how the cameraman actually helped save the situation. She said, “The cameraman had to radio into the other cameraman to get a little pin so I could pin my trousers together to finish the golf round with.”Even with that unexpected problem, Hull still finished the tournament in a tie for seventh place, showing her focus never completely disappeared. Lydia Ko went on to win the event, but Hull’s wardrobe story remained one of the unforgettable memories from that week.The golfer also spoke honestly about why the trousers were tighter than usual. She explained that during her late teenage years, she went through a phase where her lifestyle changed. Hull said, “I was so skinny growing up and when I got to about 18 or 19, I started going out drinking cider.”She added, “Whenever I had a hangover, I’d eat loads of unhealthy food and I put on loads of weight.”Today, Hull is known for her strong fitness routine and disciplined lifestyle. She has also become one of the biggest voices in women’s golf, recently sharing her views that modern golf has become less creative and too focused on power hitting.
