Lucknow: Economic adviser to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Professor KV Raju, has been appointed a full-time member of NITI Aayog.Following approval from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajiv Gauba, Gobardhan Das, Abhay Karandikar and M Srinivas have also been appointed full-time members, while Ashok Kumar Lahiri has been appointed NITI Aayog vice-chairperson.Prof Raju has been serving as the economic adviser to the UP CM for nearly nine years. .He has worked as a principal scientist at ICRISAT in Hyderabad, a social scientist at IWMI in Colombo, and a visiting research fellow at IFPRI in Washington, DC. He has also served as a professor at ISEC in Bengaluru.Prof Raju began his career at IRMA, Anand, in Gujarat. Over the course of his career, he has authored 26 books and more than 100 research papers.
