Renault Duster turbo mileage revealed: How efficient the SUV really is

Renault India has announced the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures for the new Renault Duster, giving a clearer picture of what buyers can expect from its turbo-petrol setup.

The SUV, powered by the Turbo TCe 160 engine, delivers a claimed mileage of 18.45 kmpl with the DCT automatic gearbox. The manual version, paired with a 6-speed transmission, returns 17.75 kmpl. These numbers place the new Duster in a competitive spot within the mid-size SUV space, especially considering its focus on performance. The 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque, making it one of the more powerful options in its segment.

Apart from this, Renault is also offering a smaller 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This unit produces 100 hp and 160 Nm of torque and is available only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
