Shraddha Kapoor and Randeep Hooda have wrapped up the Pune schedule of their upcoming film, Eetha. The team completed an extended shoot across several locations in and around the city earlier this week. Prior to this, the film’s Mumbai schedule was finished, with shooting taking place from late January to early February. The Pune leg concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony on set. The celebration was attended by the cast and crew, including director Laxman Utekar and members of the production team. A video from the occasion was recorded during the shoot. Apart from Mumbai and Pune, the film has also been shot in Nasik, Solapur, Satara and Kolhapur. The team is now preparing to move to another location for the next phase of filming, though details about it have not been made public.

Eetha is a biographical drama based on the life of renowned Marathi Tamasha performer Vithabai Narayangaonkar. The film is produced by Maddock Films and stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, with Randeep Hooda playing the male lead. The story traces Vithabai’s journey, focusing on her struggles and rise in the world of Tamasha between the 1950s and 1980s. Reports indicate that Shraddha Kapoor has undergone training in Lavani and Gavlan to prepare for her portrayal of the celebrated artiste. The title Eetha is said to be Vithabai’s nickname. While the makers have not yet announced a release date, the film is expected to arrive in theatres later this year.
