Calling it a “coincidence” that they share the same character name, Vijay compared it to his own dark portrayal in ‘Darlings’, quipping that Ranveer has “hit it out of the park” and retelling what a Hamza can be.

For the unversed, Vijay Varma played Hamza in the Alia Bhat starrer ‘Darlings’, where his character was a dark and negative person. He played a man who hurt his wife and created fear. On the other side, Ranveer’s Hamza is strong and brave.

Vijay also recalled working with Ranveer Singh in ‘Gully Boy’. He shared the film helped him.
